Need Help Identifying Coin/Jeton, Possibly 15th Century

Diameter: 26-28mm
weight: 4.3 grams
material: bronze+silver or tin

I found this near Maastricht in the fields. It looks hand struck, showing the virgin and child with halo. THe bronze was covered by either tin or silver, although the red oxidation seems to suggest silver.

Best guess is this is a Maria mereau/jeton, which were relatively common in Northern France and low countries 13th-15th Century, but I could be completely off.
