Panda says loser coins. 100% agree with him. The 20/20 coins tend to ship faster than other coins. At 250,000 minted, these are the one of the worst investments, despite people on RFD crowing about making $5.

I don't think the mint publishes figures on mintage of the birthstone coins. And its not a coin that I would purchase for myself. It is going to be a Christmas gift for a special lady who showed an interest in the coin when she saw it at the local post office

Good for you, and except when I tried to order the 2011 "new baby" set, I've always been happy with the quick service on the 'Gift Coins'. I'm sure your lady friend will enjoy her Birthstone coin.

This is great news. Maybe I will receive my 1914 $5 gold coin before x-mas?

Quote: The 20/20 coins [are] one of the worst investments, despite people on RFD crowing about making $5. Making $5 on a $20 investment, in this short amount of time is pretty decent I would think. Granted the numbers are relatively small for a single coin, put percentage-wise you can't complain about that. Looking on ebay, some earlier $20 for $20 actually sell above $40.

@canadian_coins Quote: Maybe I will receive my 1914 $5 gold coin before x-mas? That sure would be nice! I ordered a 1912 $5. Thing is, the gift coins are all boxed and ready to be shipped. The 1912-1914 gold coins have to be encapsulated, put into boxes, and coa's added. And they're going to have to prepare thousands of them. I'm expecting a bit of a wait for those ones. It's going to be an agonizing wait!

@MoneyPenny: c_c's got it right, $5 on a $20 coin is 25% return. Not a lot of other RCM NCLT do that well. A $20 stock that jumps to $25 in a few weeks will make national news.

Quote:Yes, RCM has really fast service. They underestimate their speed. I ordered the 20 for 20 reindeer coin and e-mailed them about when I should be recieving it, they said in the next 3-4 WEEKS. I received it the next day! :) It took only 4 days since I ordered! Good for you. Here's my order: Order Date: Aug 22, 2012 Order Status: Processing as of Aug 23, 2012Quote: I'll definatly be ordering more soon. How? There's 3 coins limit.
