Can you imagine the ebay price it would bring if they brought it back?

If they left it untouched and slabbed it still having martin dirt on its surface it would have to be top 5 most expensive coins ever if not the most.
Personally if I had that type of money and that came back, Id want that more than even the famous double eagle.

Once that coin ic returned to Earth, you will see Thousands and maybe Millions of them on ebay for sale. And none will say made in China. Actually I'm only surprized that there aren't already some of those for sale. Only with a little note explaining "Smuggled back to Earth" If you look closely at those photos of that coin you see that there is already wear on it due to constanly putting in a vending machine on Mars. Due to the excessive sand on Mars, coins used in their vending machines get that way faster than on Earth or Venus. If your one of many looking for a job, try suggesting to our government you would be willing to go there as a vending machine repair person. And if your wondering why that coin had to be encapsulated it is due to the high crime rate even there. Also, for those that still say we never really went to the Moon, here is one more scam we all have been led to believe. The wasting of Copper to send a Cent to Mars? Never happened.

I don't think it's going to hurt it's value any, at least not to any collectors where it's at.
