That's a stunning coin. A wonderful gift and I'm glad your bride appreciates what it is. I'm quite fortunate in that my wife gets it too. Life is much easier when all cooperate.

I suggested a gold coin to my wife for Christmas; told her gold jewelry is outrageous. It didn't fly.

Wow, that must be different. My wife is very understanding, so no complaints, but it must be great to actually be able to converse coins and give coin gifts. :-)

Now that's the way to start a collection of slabbed coins! Fantastic!

I also got my first slabbed coin about a week ago. I however started at the absolute polar opposite end of the coin spectrum. I got a 1957 Wheatie. But it's all good and I'm happy with mine too

I'd enjoy seeing sharper, more detailed photos of both sides of the coin. Based on the image you presented the MS-60 grade looks quite conservative. It's a beautiful coin.
Congrats!

Yup, can you imagine? I paid $9.95 for an NGC MS64 Wheatie with nice toning.

I realize about $0.35 went for the coin and $9.60 for the plastic. But I like it all the same.
