Coinstar again! Don't people need money? Hit Coinstar at Walmart this morning--ten quarters, nine in the return slot and one in the tray. One was a bicentennial. I love those. But how do people leave money in the machine? Aren't they going there because they need money? Ah, the American citizen.

Thanks, stud722. I'm making it a practice of checking them anytime I'm driving near one. Seems like people are still cashing in for dollars. Sign of the times.

I always check the coinstar's, but I cant help but feel judged when I go digging through the tray lol
I recently pulled out a 1907 indian head, that was about the biggest find I've had from coinstar. No silver yet =(

I've only ever found Canadian coins in the Coinstar reject bin. Great work! I do check them out on occasion when I am at a store that has one.

Way to go coinstar. I guess I'll check when I'm at the grocery store from now on.

Tonight I found a 1964 US quarter in the return slot of my local Coinstar machine.

Man, the best I've ever found in the Coinstar reject tray is two pennies, 1999 and 2006D, both in pretty dire shape.

Good find, bookshelf. I haven't found a silver quarter yet, just dimes and wheaties.

Quote: I always check the coinstar's, but I cant help but feel judged when I go digging through the tray lol I have never once been too proud to pick up a penny. I was walking past a very scary looking man at a coinstar one day and I saw him take the reject coins out and shake them around in his hand. I could hear from a good 20 feet away that he had a large silver coin and at least a few others. I caught a fleeting glimpse of what looked like an ASE as I walked past. It he weren't such a scary person I would have asked to buy it from him. Thinking about it now, I wouldn't be surprised if he came upon those coins illegally. Maybe its good that I was such a wimp.
