1916 looks much better to me. Seems to have a lot less hairlines than the 1906

I also chose the 1906nfirst, but side by side in better lighting, I change my vote to the 1916

Here's one last look, the coins were scanned at 2400 DPI

I like the 1916 best but it looks like it may have been dipped. The 1906 looks like its been cleaned but the spots are very distracting.

I really thought it was going to be the 1906, but now it looks to be the 1916. I think all the coins were cleaned. One good thing about the camera it don't lie.

Def the 1916. The 1906 is so bad that you should just go ahead and send it to me. :)

1916 has the best eye appeal of the pack. All have been cleaned so it boils down to which one do you like.

My favorite denomination among the Barbers. I vote the 1916 as well. There was a time in the 60s when cleaning coins with Baking Soda was widespread. Four of the six coins look as if they got that cleaning. Many tiny scratches are the clue. Of the '06 and '16 the '16 looks less "cleaned/dipped."
For the time being, study all of the coins for strike. Ignore the cleaning. When you are ready to upgrade you will have the knowledge to choose wisely. For $5 each you have the opportunity to study higher grade examples without busting your pocket book.
The 1916 will fill the spot until that time comes.

To me all of them looked cleaned in some way, but from the very beginning I thought the 1916 first. It looks the most original.
