I think the ATB will be more collectable because they have a much lower mintage and IMHO look a whole lot nicer. John1

Quote: I don't think that any of the quarter series have disappeared from circulation as fast as the ATBs. I haven't seen very many of them. I just went through $80 of quarters from a vending machine and found: 186 ...... State 133 ...... Washington 4 .......... America the Beautiful 3 .......... Bicentennial

I have decided to create a circulating set of both. However, my expectations are that I will eventually have a much better circulating set of the ATB's that I will end up with of the State Quarters. However, I am really expecting to have a tough time getting the territorial coins. As I recall there are a couple of them that have extremely low mintages. The Mariannas coin seems to stand out for some reason.

2009 Territory QuartersEven at the start of 2009, the mintages were little more than a third of the 2008 State Quarters. Then the bottom started falling out after D.C.-P and Puerto Rico-D By the time we get to Northern Mariana Islands... Denver 37,600,000 Philadelphia 35,200,000 ...we're in the early ATB mintages range.

I can't believe an ATB Quarter already has that kind of price tag, regardless of grade. Impressive.

Don't under estimate the force of supply and demand. A common coin of ATB only worth $0.25 but in an uncommon grade, that's cheap. I am not into chasing top pop coins, but there are many that do that.

That's not a bad price...... but not easy to find MS68 and up coins though..... best if you buys a few bag (100 coins) of each design....
