Clearing a pile of nickels and first found a 1938 Jefferson FS-106 that might go AU, and then this 1939 FS-801. Not enough time to photograph all things as leaving again in the morning for more bat catching but this one is the more showy of the coins.

Big thanks! I'm back out and yes, am having fun. Chilly sitting in the woods hoping for bat captures this time of year but it is when they come in to go to bed. More coin stuff when I am home in two weeks.

Outstanding find. How big does a pile of nickels need to be to potentially have a '39 DDR in the heap?
