Now it becomes a double thread. Either delete this thread or keep it in the Canadian forum. The Perth Mint hasn't even released their GITD coin yet and this does have an impact on the collectability of the RCM's GITD coins because they will no longer have the GITD market to themselves.

It is the Aurora Borealis, I am assuming that only the aurora " glows in the dark "

Kind of boring.

Probably even it's some part.

But, in other hand, this is the fresh idea.
Did you expect other dinosaur or some animal?

What else can "Glow in the dark" except Aurora, radioactive dino skeleton, analog watch and compass?

And here it applied to silver coin.

Added:
Forgot the light spot that produced by some deepwater creatures.

Guys, I look for advice, please:

several times bought from Perth Mint website (had no problems with the orders) and never from Talisman.

Is it preferable to order from Talisman (shipping to Canada) and why?

Silveroid, proceed with caution if you order from Talisman and don't expect your order to always be filled, especially if it's a hot coin that they're selling for more on ebay. Many, myself included, have had their orders mysterious deleted from their system and never received what they ordered. Even if you get them, you might end up waiting for a long time cause they'll fill the ebay orders first to maintain their seller feedback. If you are purchasing enough to qualify for free shipping buy direct from Perth. Downies and EC are other options, they charge a little more but the shipping might be less.

Thank you, addielise and Mrpiedfort

will not take a risk (saving some dollars on the shipping charge) and will continue with Perth Mint or try Downies.

Appreciate

For example, I ordered the Perth 1oz proof year of the dragon coin, waited a couple of weeks, called Talisman why the delay, they told me they haven't received the coins yet from the Perth Mint. So I waited a month. Called again, and they told me they oversold the coin. I soon realized they were selling the coin for at least double the price on ebay instead of $99.95 on their website. I was so mad, but I have to admit I still ordered a few coins from them. So long as the coins aren't "hot", should be okay.

I was in rush (do not even know why) and tired, as a result did it in most improper way:

Ordered the "Glow-in-the Dark" from Talisman's ebay account- even with the shipping it cost less, than from Perh Mint and they already shipped the coin.

But also ordered Opal Coin (Kangaroo) - just wanted to have one, but ordered it from the Perth Mint site...so anyway will pay the shipping...

Mrpiedfort, consider yourself lucky they actually picked up the phone! Doesn't happen often and they rarely answer emails. When you get the excuses over the phone take them with a grain of salt. When it comes to Perth products I believe they have most if not all in hand by the time Perth releases them for sale on their website. All you have to do is look at their ebay listing to see if it says in stock and ready to ship. If you order through their website, you can also check their ebay completed listings to see if people who purchased after you did are posting positive feedback. On another note, for them to tell you they didn't receive them yet, then a month later say oh we oversold them is total BS. Especially when they had them on ebay. I don't suppose they offered to fill your order with one of the ones from the ebay listing?
