Hi All,

I've had a bit of a search, and couldn't find a topic on this already.

Just wondering how people are storing their 'packaged' NCLT. I've ordered a few things in various cases/booklets/cards and was only just now thinking where I could store it all.

I don't intend on removing them from their packaging.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Daniel

I store my dollar collection with all it's packaging. The packaging is stored in Lighthouse vario pages 1c, 2c, 3c and 4c depending on their size.

@the-purple-penny: Nice, attractive and effective approach to storing your dollar coins! Well done!

@Janglais: If the some of the coins in your collection come in capsules, I would suggest buying one (or more) Lighthouse Coin Trays and storing the capsules in the trays. With this method, you can see 16 or more of your coins at a glance vs. having to open up all of the cases. I store all of my modern silver dollar commemorative coins (US and Canada) in these trays and keep their original packages in two file boxes. After years of keeping them in their original packaging, I'm glad I made the switch. Much more convenient!

For coins sealed in a card or booklet, I use a similar approach to what the-purple-penny presented -- binders and Lighthouse pages.

Good luck!

Also oven bags and many zip lock bags are safe (and cheap) archival options. Check the website of the zip lock bag manufacturer to ensure the bags are made from either polyester, polyethylene, or polypropylene.

Just found this website that sells quite a range of suitable storage products. However, being aimed at retailers it seems you need to usually buy in packs of 1000 ... which makes it very economical when compared with buying ziplock bags at the supermarket.
