Seems the ones I favor are also favorites of everybody else. And I am from California so perhaps that commemorative is high on my list for the same reason as your Lexington/Concord

That pan pac quarter eagle obverse might just be the coolest design I have ever seen on a U.S. coin. It's really right up my alley. The pan pac half was really nice too.

The commemorative half dollars dollars 1892 through 1954 still have most of the neo classical design chatacteristics in them, that made the American coinage generally, so distinceive from the rest of the World's coinage systems. How many people around the World do NOT like the design on a Liberty Walking half dollar?

I cant pick a single favorite for either the modern or the classic series. For the modern the baseball, WWII and Civil War are probably my favorites. For the classic Antietam, Lexington and Stone Mountain would be my favorites

I think the older ones are also tough to pick a favorite out of, but mine would be Stone Mountain as well. That would be followed by the Pilgrim. Moderns...maybe 1s Flight.

For the purpose of this thread, the 1982 Washington Half Dollars are my favourite. They were my first pair of commemorative coins (I have both proof and uncirculated).
However, the 1990 Eisenhower Centennial Dollar is my overall favourite commemorative issue. I only have the proof, which is in a 1990 Prestige Proof Set. I am still considering acquiring an uncirculated one for my 7070.

Aside from the subject matter, I really love how 3D the ship looks on the reverse.

to the collecting joy of USA commemorative jgettings00. I'm a dedicated fan of what we know as the classic silver commemorative series .. 144 coins minted between 1893 and 1954. This series IMHO contains some of the best coinage art of all USA issues ... and is filled with historical connections, greed and distribution intrigue. Anyways ... a few of my favorites from the series ... 1926 Oregon Trail Half .... PCGS VG08 1936 Gettysburg Half ... PCGS VG10 On the MS side .... stunningly preserved example of a tremendous historical coin ... 1937 Antietam Half ... PCGS MS67/CAC. Tremendous examples IMHO of USA coinage art ... David

I would have to agree, most of the designs are superb. Too bad they're so dang expensive
