I guess the reason they issue the mini set is because there are too many cancellation since they notified that the delay of the coin boxes and they want to get rid of those coins.

Do you think the box for this "Mini-Subscription" will be the same one as for the regular subscription? My guess is that it will be one in the same. The photo of the box doesn't show individual slots for coins from what I can tell, however it is black so they could be there but I just don't see it.
This smaller subscription has three of my least favorites so I will just stick by the originals. If this one had included all the wildlife and the coloured maple, I would have been a little miffed.

with canuck1us The original 12 coins sub is way better, then a new one. The 6 coins sub could be used: to put "animals" coin (plus additional one, lets say 1/2oz Mantis, or 1/2oz coloured Maple Leaf) and make it parallel to 1oz animal coins. to use the box for other RCM 1/2 oz coins. But in any way it could replace the big subscription.

i just don't get it, why didn't they just reopen the original subscription for the 12 coins. What does the new number of 40,000 sets available mean, does this include the original sets and singles.?

They will not increase the mintage. No reason for this. The coins from the first subscription will be "available" again for the second one, due to the Sub'12 cancellations.
So the 40.000 this is the mintage for each of the coins, and this number shares the single edition, Sub'12 and Sub'6

How could they manage that when "The Inukshuk" (first coin) is "Awaiting Stock" (probably meaning no more on hand)? What they have is a bunch of cancellations to take the future coins. So, they are putting together a reduced set of those coins.

They can't even fulfill their current box orders and they want to do more. It's pretty hilarious.
Oh well.. Just call this one "Canada's Last Leftovers" and sell it for a premium :)

What might have been a nice 6 coin set would have been to allow customers to select 6 coins that they personally like, while also providing the box. Logistically, it would be a nightmare to coordinate. But, the customer could get the coins s/he wanted.
