Zack, looks like the 63 $2 has a slight corner fold in the upper right and a few creases but otherwise Extra Fine+ to Almost un-circulated condition.
The 1935D $1 S.C. looks to be in similar condition, although hard to tell from the camera glare. Might be a center fold there.

Pretty solid notes if you ask me.

Nice notes. As for it being a good deal or not we need to know what you paid for them. Look here http://www.uscurrencyauctions.com/prices.htm

Wow. Completely forgot to say that I paid $10 for the pair.
And I thought I saw a slight crease but wasn't sure if it would affect much. Also, sorry about to glare, My camera isn't too great.

To avoid the glare take it out of the holder before taking the pic.

You got a fair deal.....Look like good examples of both notes. The one dollar looks to be a better 1935D issue...M-G

I think you did OK with these 2 notes.

Any chance of posting the back of the SC note?

Thanks, just wanted to see if it was a W or N variety.

How do you determine the difference between W and N varieties? And I hope this pic is good enough.

xZACKx thanks for posting the back. It is a N (narrow) variety. The MG block in W (wide) is very tough to find.

The 1935D SC series changed from wide to narrow as can be determined by examining the backs of the notes. There are more than one way to tell. I use the comparison of the height under the words ONE DOLLAR and not the numerical 1. If you use the word method, than look at the height of the green area above and below of the words ONE DOLLAR - if equal, then wide; if narrower on the bottom, then narrow.
