Very cool trick, I always wonder what the accepted best offer was! Hopefully the .fr lasts a while.. How many other .somethings are in line after they figure this one out? Lol.

Eventually ebay might close all these up, but there's another way. Do a completed item search and use the price range feature. Keep adjusting the max price until the item disappears from the results.

What is the harm in seeing what someone got as a best offer? Why would ebay want to block it?

I do it to see haw low a seller typically will go on an offer. I can see why some sellers would prefer it be secret.

That's odd, must be a US-only policy. Thanks for the tip I was wondering if there was a way to check that

France stopped working, so I switched to Italy, and then that stopped too. I'd guess that eventually all will be closed up. The method of limiting the dollar range on an ended or sold item search still works. Here's how to do it.
- Do a search using part of the item title and choose either ended or sold listings. It should come up with just one result.
- Then limit the top price by half of the ask price.
- If the item stays in the results, go halfway below that. If it disappears, go halfway above.
- Repeat until you find the price, or close enough.
Here's an example.
- BIN is $400.
- Drop by $200 to $200 -item not there.
- Raise by $100 to $300 -item not there.
- Raise by $50 to $350 -item there.
- Drop by $25 to $325 -item not there.
- Raise by $12.50 to $337.50- item there.
- Drop by $6.25 to $331.25- item not there.
- Raise by $3.13 to $334.38- item there.
- Item sold for between $331.25 and $334.38

On my ENDED list I can click on item and it will show sold or ended, but you are right I dont think it ever shows figures on what an item sold for on best offer, good to know thanks!
