Very nice. Once complete, will you start working backwards from 34?

I don't know if you missed it or not, but they made a steel cent in 1944 and a copper cent in 1943 and I don't see those two coins in your set.... Jk it's an amazing set!

Stunning (as expected from you), have you thought about adding the proofs to your set?

Thanks for the props! To answer a couple of questions, here goes. I'll probably stick to just the MS pieces and no proofs. It's possible I'll get an early one as type, if the look and price is right.
As for going before 1934, that might be pretty tough! The prices really start to jump, starting with the 1931-D and S. I did manage to cross an NGC 1933-D 66 RD into a PCGS 66+ RD holder recently, so maybe you can stay I started! I'll probably stop at 1932 if I do continue.
I've been working on this set since 2006, so hopefully it will be complete soon, but no rush!

Those pictures are truly amazing, beautiful set. We've been working on ours for years and I know what you mean about anything earlier than '31 being much more tough. You take great pictures as well! I wish I could take pictures like many I've seen on CCF. Congratulations.....

Absolutely awesome. Out of curiosity, why did you choose 34 as the beginning year for this run?

I really like this set too.
I'm guessing he chose 1934 because that's the year that the powers that be have decided divides modern lincolns and classic lincolns. It is also that year that pretty much divides expensive and not as expensive if we're talking registry grade and anything mintmarked.

The main reason I chose 1934 and up is that it is the 'second half' of the wheat cents, the last 25 years. The first 25 years would be brutal in MS-66 RD, except for pieces like the 1909 VDB or 1930. I just swapped out the 66 1943-D for the 67 I had. The 66 has more luster, but the 67 is semi-prooflike and pretty sharp too.

Very nice set! I too am working on this set in 66 rd for '35-'58. I still need 14 coins out of the 69 to finish the set. Some of the p mint post '46 prices can be brutal, as well as the '35-s. There was no way I would be able to complete the pre '34 pieces in 66 so I dropped my standard to at least 63. According to my registry set I still need 52 coins out of the 140 to complete the '09-'58 set but I have a couple of ANACS pieces I hope to cross, one being a'31-d in 65rb, no joke about that being a tough coin in high grades.

I wasn't sure since you can go back a bit further without breaking the bank. But doing the even split of the 50 years does make sense.
Regardless, as I said, awesome set dude.
