I've had two: a 1969s Kennedy half from a bank in Richmond, VA, and a 1993 proof 2p from change at home. The latter was definitely out of a proof set, and the reliefs are still obviously frosted and the fields still mirror-like, but it's rather scratched and didn't come out well in the photos - sorry! I've also got a GB 1927 new reverse type halfcrown in about VF that I bought a few years ago - that coin was only issued in proof sets but it must have escaped and been spent!

I found a 1985-S Kennedy half dollar once while searching through rolls of half dollars from the bank. A better story comes from a fellow dealer I know. He bought a set of V nickels. The 1883 No Cents in the set looked uncirculated but it was covered by some strange kind of haze all except for Miss Liberty's ear. He couldn't figure out how the haze got on the coin. He though about it for a few months and then decided that it was some kind of foreign substance. So he dipped the coin and once he put it in and took it out he took out a very beautiful proof coin.

I have probably found a couple of hundred anyway. I held all of the half dollars for a while. Finally turned them all in to the change machine. I think that there was about 80 at one time. I once got a full roll of the golden dollars, but they had finge prints on them. So I dumped them as well. Setting in from of me right now are nine nickels, seven cents, seven quarters and sixteen dimes. I don't feel like they are worth much so I don't hold to them. The only ones I keep now are the silver ones.
still lookin

Yes, I found an S-mint mart quarter a few years back in a change can at work. They didn't mint S that year for general circulation so it apparently was a proof. It's stored so I can't tell you the exact year (90s).

I found a proof quarter while CRH several months ago.
I had always wondered if I would be able to tell a proof from business strike while CRH. When I finally came across one, BAM! It just stood out. There was no doubt about what it was.

Does prooflike count? Just kidding. None yet, but I have many years ahead of me to find some.

Just found another proof nickel roll hunting, bringing my total found proofs to three.
I also have a bunch of 68, 69, 70-S nickels I need to check over more closely to see if they're impaired proofs or business strikes.
