CuNi Indians are not attributed for color.

I was going by a site I use for photo grading and that was the grade that matched it. I didn't think they used color either so I took it as gospel. Guess its wrong.

oih82w8, I just filled this slot myself, with a PCGS AU50/CAC. Yours definitely has less wear than mine, and I love the sharp strike and nice surface appearance.

I'll go with the AU55 crowd, and congratulate you on a nice purchase!

I'll break from the crowd and go with AU58. It's got an excellent strike, which can be problematic for this date.

The OP image is from PCGS, hopefully the sellers image above is a little off (dark).

Here is a close-up of the date of the cent (above) and the PCGS identifier image (below);

I missed the 'guess the grade', but the repunching jumped out at me. Awesome coin.

I had done a little research in this Snow-3 and PCGS has a total of eight of this variety with two higher and five lower and the sole AU-55 and a R-7 on the rarity scale...but that is subject to change.

Besides, it's kinda cool to have another PCGS plate coin!
