Just saw the set in the local PO - for issue price. Looks very good in personal, but the standard case looks really ugly. I think, that I will order one of the good wooden boxes for 3 coins (H size air-tite capsules).

I agree. The set looks quite nice and if it doesn't sell that many due to the lack of a name, its relative rarity will increase all the more.

Quote: The set doesn't look too bad...... Well that's hardly a ringing endorsement. Quote: ...if it doesn't sell that many due to the lack of a name, its relative rarity will increase all the more. These coins will never be rare, clvlys. But I'm glad you like them.

It will be a rarity only if very few of the sets were sold. Say less than a thousand. But I think enough will be sold to prevent such a situation.
And just being a raity will not make it valuable if there is no demand for it.

It seems that the RAM coin has everything people asked... W&C, date and the baby name "Prince George". The tree and leaves look a bit creepy though, especially with the way RAM illustrates it, kinda reminds me of the family tree in Sirius Black (godfather of Harry Potter)'s bedroom.

I really want that coin though, give a sense of modernity to the monarchy.

I did not say that they will be rare. I said that their "relative" rarity will increase if the number sold is much less than the stated mintage.
Again, the coins are nice but that said I collect coins based on a number of factors not just how they look. For these particular coins, my interest rests with mintage and the fact that the infant could be a future king. Further as discussed with but one exception, this is the second time a royal infant has been represented on a coin, and a first in Canada. The infant's name may not be inscribed on the coin but they have been issued to recognize his birth, and again the inclusion of the stuffed animals, a gift from Canada, are indicative of who the infant is purported to be.
Cheers all.

I can see MoneyPenny hoarding the RAM royal coin as it has all he asked for... Name of the prince, date of birth and name of William and Cate on the coin

You correct, Lostwords. It has everything, and IMO, like it always been, it most elegant from all Royal Birth coins (actually NZ Pst coin also very good)
But...as some of their Royal coins, it has denomination of 50 cent (not $1) and the coins weight bit more then 1/2oz.
Anyway, I am looking to buy it. Just shipping charge of AU$35 stopped me.

Quote: But if you buy 10.. shippiing price comes down to $3.5 a coin... it's a bargain.. Sounds good But what about budget? All these Superman coins that wait to be hoarded and pre-sold? I am joking...not in the mood to deal with many coins to sell them. But what I really think: I interested in this one and regular silver 2013 50c - maybe i'll order them together. From other side, there are couple of ebay listings, that offer coin for issue price with $26 for shipping.
