Half dollars, hands down! They offer a lot of varieties and errors. Especially like finding different types of hoof designs. Am working on building a collection of hoof through various dates (not just the hoof through 9). Some are tough to find!

Quarters.

I collected whatever I could find in change when I was young, and I remember finding a 1991 quarter once, which was my nicest find at the time. When I was working my first summer job during university (and making reasonable money), I bought myself a nice 1858 20 cent, I was always intrigued by the coin because it was one of a kind, and I've been building on the collection ever since.

As a coin roll hunter I love five cents. It is also the beaver that got me into collecting five cents.

I love the fifty cents, especially the George VI halves. I really enjoy the coat of arms on the reverse of the George VI series.

I love the 5 cent silvers. Hard to see the small delicate surfaces,...but when you find a special one ...it sticks in your mind.

This one is a favorite as it was a battle to get and I do love the cameo on this earliest vicky.

I've never seen another like it and was somehow hoping that others in this great forum would add theirs here.

Still hoping...

I like the fish scales too. That's an incredible coin. What's that tiny, tiny spot of green on the rim at 8 o'clock on the reverse?
I love 'em all, but have often leaned toward dimes and cents.

No...I don't know what that speck is.

If you reduce that pic to it's actual size, ..that speck would be sooooo small.

I will be getting a Digital Microscope in the not to distant future and it should 'shine a bit of light' on that speck....
... and finally give me super clear pics of the many details that escape me right now.. Some of my other ICCS holders have distracting specks on the inside...

You have to remember that almost all of this pics of mine are through 2 reflective sheets of plastic,.. making these shots almost impossible to get "right".. and clear.

I got hooked in 67 when I saw the centennial rabbit nickel, I was in my teens and grabbed every one I could find. Still have a few from then. Lost interest for many years now the fifty cent series intrigues me most although I have to live vicariously off some of you guys with the Vickies.

I'd say silver dollars are my fav. I love the voyageur motif and the nice relief. They are very touchable coins. Yes I use protection, lol!

My favorite coins tend to be half dollars, I have a complete set of Kennedy halves which I have been tweaking over the years searching out higher grades and varieties. I have a half complete set of double strike reverses which I find humorous and I'd love to complete that set as a quirk.

My favorite US Half Dollar is the Walking Liberty, It's just such a stunning coin. Then Barber Head, then Seated Liberty with Franklin pulling up the rear.
