Awesome! If I had 500 to drop right now those would be bought!

There is zero reason for them not to grade except that you are sending them to PCGS and you are not a big comqny or dealer.

Finally caught up with this tread ... read it from post #1.

Beautiful War Nickels ... and best of wishes at the PCGS wizards ... let us know how that works for you.

Momentary panic; I thought I lost the '44-P. Found it behind the filing cabinets I use for coin storage. Pshew.

We're unlikely to get an answer to the grades. The last time fadetoblack was on was 2013.

You can reach him on Collectors Universe (same user name). As mentioned, He's long gone from this site.

... Sounds like the "active ingredients" have dissipated ...

One wonders about the impact of recycling on the potency of the cardboard population.

Q/ Will there now be a market, at premium prices, for GVC? (Guaranteed Virgin Cardboard)

Q/ Should we be sniffing all of our incoming cardboard boxes to identify & isolate the virgins?

Cheers,

I bought a bunch of Wayte Raymond holders and put some dimes in them and forgot them for 20 years. They came out incredible. I don't recommend this for actual processing of white coins unless you are a teenager.

or you could just soak your holders in a dilute sulfur suspension and let it dry. Then put the coins in and wait 10 years.

I appreciate everyone chiming in.....I knew it was an old post, but it is one of the attractions to Coin Community for me...I really enjoy going back through the older posts. It is a great reference site;
well organized. I have only made it through 50 pages so far, and still no one finding 2009 nickels! 8 years !
