If I'm not considering gold and the ASE, my most expensive would be the 1912 D Barber Half.

Although I do not have a scanner at the internetcafe I use for doing computer administration, my favorite coin is a Judean Mite which was issued by King Herodes in 2 before Christ. Fantasizing that Jezus Christ or one of his disciples has used it to pay for everyday groceries.. it was beggars money, the lowest denomination of the currency line back than... and I bought this little bit of fun for 3 euro (approximately 2 1/2 us dollar).
