When I lived up north I would see Canadian coins in my change all the time. I never CRH then, so I cannot comment on Canadian roll finds.

Here in the south, I may have found five Canadian coins in my change the last ten years. I quit CRH over 15 years ago. However, when I did CRH, the occasional Canadian finds happened, but tended to be few and far between.

I live in Canada but near the border. It is very common to get full rolls of American pennies from the bank (and the employees don't even care if they get those full rolls). However, when I get south for shopping, the stores in US have very strict rules of not accepting any Canadian coins as currency. Anyone that uses Canadian bills at Costco would have to get their change in US coins.

I think Costco would make sense. Don't they not accept credit cards? or checks? I think Sams Club is that way also. I am less that 3 hrs away in northern Wisconsin, Canadian coins seem to have a "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy.

I live in Canada just north of Toronto, and while I can't speak about the number of Canadian pennies in US rolls, I can say that I average 4-5 US pennies per Canadian roll. This is a higher number than the reverse seems to be below the border, but up here US currency is accepted as well as Canadian, and we tend to see it more or less regularly as we get close to the border.

I live about 4 hr from the border and I get on average 5 Canadian dimes per $250 box. In one box I got 14 silver Canadian dimes but no non-silver Canadian ones which was nice.

The collection I acquired had a lot of Canadian coins, even some quarters. There's nowhere around here to cash them in so they're still in the box with coins from a lot of other far away places.

it is very common for my to find atleast 5 canadian in a box here and I live far from the border...but I have heard others get 10-20 a box....unless you are trying to fill a book like me most people hate getting them....but I would keep everyone as canada no longer makes the penny and are melting a lot down so the value is only going to go up imo

Are all Canadian pennies copper or did they make some zincers?

Id like to fill some books, but then just stock the coppers for a rainy day.

I set aside all of my canadian coins, and from just less than 2 years of roll hunting I have a $250 dimes box almost full. It is a mix of denominations, but mostly pennies. I kept all silver coins seperate, but everything else just got chucked in the box. Eventually I will go through them.
I usually get anywhere from 1-15 canadian coins per box.

Maybe it's just a warped sense of humor I have, but way back when I first saw this thread, I thought, "Why would I hunt Canadians in the US? I bet they taste gamey." Then it made me think of that movie, "Surviving the Game." Anyone see that? And lastly, so as not to hijack a thread to discuss weird thoughts or movies, in my last three $25 boxes of cents I searched, I have found a total of 7 Canadian cents (4 from the box I worked on a few weeks back, 1 from the box I worked earlier last week, and 2 from the box I finished at the end of the week). Apparently my ratios are dropping.
