@poboxw saved me a bunch of typing! I agree that the "coins" being offered are fakes. The biggest warning sign is the lack of detail on the maple leaf - the RCM produces much better quality. Also, the fact that the seller calls them reverse proofs when they clearly are not is another signal to stay far away from this "deal"!

I will disagree. They do not look good, actually very suspicious. The Maple Leaf looks like overfrosted and its internal structure simplified.
And the seller "may not ship" to Canada.

I saw this a while back, but its not even close to being well done. There was a lot more sellers when I first saw them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-oz-Silver...em4ac494b134The 2013 will at least get a pass from some people. Looks like the RCM are the coins to knock off in recent years. Or at least more so then I can remember. Aside from those fake toonies a while back.

Here's my old thread with pics of proof and reverse proof SMLs You can really see the difference compared to coins in that listing. The RCM has fallen in terms of quality, but not that far, yet. https://goccf.com/t/113027

That's a fake... look at the maple leaf, there is NO DETAIL on the leaf at all. The leaf on this fake coin resembles the one that was on those copper rounds.
On the obverse, the earring the Queen's wearing is much bigger than it should be. And the name of the designer, which is suppose to be on the lower left side of Queen's shoulder is missing as well.

Sorry - I guess the sarcasm font wasn't working.
I'll answer my own question - they were likely 'freshly minted' in a basement somewhere near Jacksonville, Florida.

Noticed that freshly mint part as well. But wanted to see what everyone thought of the coin since I've never heard of a proof 2013 being announced

it's silver plated, that's why it loses details like designer's name and Queen's wearing becomes bigger. My friend bought one before, it only weights around 23g, so probably copper core

I send him an email asking him if it was minted by RCM and that I never heard of a 2013 SML. His reply was (I WILL LOOK INTO IT).

@ commems: Me too. Irks me to no end when people sell fakes. Especially people with good feedback 'cause that likely means many bought into it without realizing it.
