In theory, Flying Eagle cents should never be found in coin rolls. They are thicker and heavier, with different electro conductivity, than the bronze cents which followed them. They should not pass through coin sorting machines. |

Thanks amida17 - never realised that.
sel_691 - I suppose they could crop up in CWR though - such as if someone found one lying about the house and didn't realise what it was...

Hello all. I was pointed to this thread from a member who commented on a thread I posted about a 1857 Flying Eagle I found in a Canadian cent roll recently. Its worn down quite a bit but still a great find here in Canada. Here is a link to the post with pics. Enjoy. https://goccf.com/t/161126 |

Nope.
I have found 6 or 7 Indians but no FE's after 100 if not more boxes.
