I didn't request anything either. I just ordered, got my sets and got two cards. It's perfect because I can use one set to fill both cards (one for me and one that I will give to my sister) and put one of each coin in my album, and still keep the others unopened.

I'm wondering why some people do not get cards. That is interesting.

The website does say while supplies last. I guess some of us just got lucky.

I believe it's all random. I ordered mine on the first day as well and did not receive a card, while my brother did. I like the coins a lot. With all the disappointments I've had this year from the mint, I have to give them thumbs up on this project. For a free coin, the detail they were able to achieve on the expedition coin was fabulous.

I'm a little disappointed about the card but to be honest I probably wouldn't have taken the coins out of the protective seal anyway.

From the Order History RCM web page: "We're sorry to hear that you did not receive your Heart of the Arctic collector card with your order. Please let us know your order number, and we'll make sure that a card is mailed to you."

It will be sent in another Xpresspost.

@fed_ink85, I am so jealous! None of my 6 coins has this feature (2nd picture), this must be a rare variation

@ loonar, I don't think this variety will be that rare once all the quarters make it out for circulation. My best advice would be to stay patient and I'm sure you'll get one unattributed.

I wish I understood the minting process a little better, but maybe someone can enlighten me. There were only 6.25 million(relatively low) of each coin minted, so I don't imagine there would have been very many working dies.?. Therefore I suspect there are a pile of these varieties out there somewhere, unless of course, they discovered the error and fixed the die.

In time the numbers will tell the whole story, I've already sold a few of these varieties for just $2 so I hope I haven't jump the gun here. I still have another dozen so I'll send the best into ICCS to be graded(I'll attribute them myself) and sit on the rest for awhile to see how many surface.

I called this morning and was told they don't have any left and that anyone who did get them only got ONE.

I ordered a set of these coins online when they were first available yet I didn't get a collector card. However, I sent a message to Royal Canadian Mint asking for a collector card and they said they will send one out for me so they still have some available online.

Where did you go to send them a message? There is no box to type in under `Information about your order`.
