Quote: Oh yeah! The second Bison coin! I didn't realize until just now that it is up for sale to MC members right now.
There's NO mention of it in the latest catalogue.
Uh oh! I just had a look and it's already "Awaiting Stock"!
This is exactly what happened with the first one.
I guess I'll have to wait for it to become available from a dealer... again...
Reps offered the Bison coins as a subscription when the first coin came out. Perhaps that was selling well, and after whoever commissioned the coin get it's own share, there are not many left for MC member and general public. But it is just my guess.

I am disappointed that untamed series is stopping at 3. Knowing that, I feel like buying the silver and gold pronghorn coin now.
I already have the first ones in gold and silver and I find the finish of the coins just so different and striking.
thankfully Gatewest still has them but I'll keep looknig around for other sources

I've started to think, that the 3-rd "Traditions of Hunting" is also last in the series, same as Untamed Animals. I collect the "Hunting" and hoped to fill the O Canada 5 coins box with them. My thought, to use the "Contemporary Art" 1 oz coin, as the 4-th coin for the box (as I see there - the same theme - Hunting). But what about 5-th one? So, I searched for some Canadian close to this theme NSLT coin and found this one: "Canada 1990 Silver Dollar Proof Henry Kelsey 300th Anniversary"URL for example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canada-1990...em1e697a98ddas per design - exactly what I need, but I do not know nothing about this coin. Could someone briefly describe it, please? Or, maybe, as alternative, to suggest some other RCM box for 3 coins?

Thank you, commems, this is exactly the info.
And the coin, that I need. Will look for the one at Toronto Coin Expo show, to see it in personal.

Welcome to the real world of NCLT 'investment'. If you check the track record of RCM NCLT issues for the past 40 years, you will realize that a minimum of 90% of the coins issued are worth less today than they were when issued. Maybe 'worth' is a poor choice of words. 'Priced at' may be more appropriate. I have told collectors for 25 years that if they can wait a year or two before adding a NCLT coin to their collection, they will often be able to get it at half the issue price. But those people who have to have it the day it comes out will pay the inflated RCM prices.

But this is the reality with the collectibles. Again, everything depends on the budget of the collector, but would he prefer the "fresh" item right now, when it "hot" and attracts attention, or after couple of years, discounted and forgotten?
Well, it not applicable to all the coins, but this is the situation for the most of the NCLT, that will lose their value.

Adtokens, What you say is so true. The 10% that are the exception can be so totally unexpected, too. I certainly will never be buying NCLT with an eye to making money down the road. But I do think you are a trifle harsh by condemning people who have to have them off the presses--most of "those people" buy them for their beauty or their novelty or because it features a subject of interest to them, or a combination of the above. To me, NCLT appeal to a different facet of my personality than circulation coins do. I collect both, but for very different reasons.

Not for March in particular, but:
Heard tell (Canada Post) that there's going to be a Canadian ghost-themed series coming out, likely to continue with the glow in the dark tech.
Also heard (local dealer) that the bullion wildlife series will be followed by a series of bird-themed 1oz silver coins (mintage 1,000,000 as well)

10 hours past midnight EST 4 coins (items) already "Awaiting Stock" - good score for RCM, even for this quiet release. 2014 1/2 oz. Fine Silver Coin - Pintail Duck - well, this is subscription, so understandable 2014 1/2 oz. Fine Silver Coin - Skiing Canada's Slopes - subscription coin...here I doubtful, if subscription so popular, but seems, RCM reserved some amount of coins. 2014 1 oz. Fine Silver Coin - The Bull and His Mate - I believe huge part of mintage went to the commissioner company 2014 50-cent Special Wrap Circulation Roll - remember, how I missed the 2011 one - was sold out in hours and never went back to stock. here I think, it will return to stock again.

Silver Pintail coin was available at the Winnipeg Mint boutique today, and presumably the other boutiques. I got my first look at it and really like the appearance. Really looking forward to mine arriving in the mail to complete my subscription! I bought the colored 25 cent Pintail. It's very nicely done, too, but I think the silver coin has the nicer design.
