I just noticed they don't seem to be individually numbered(like 1 of 500, 2 of 500, 3 of 500...so on and so forth till 500 of 500). For me that takes away a lot of the neatness factor.

Am I missing something? Did they actually grade the coin or assign a serial number?

I think what PCGS did was ruin the slab...

@BH, Why so hard on him? He's new so I'd take an easy.

I agree and no offense was intended at the OP, a couple of our "Pillars" should know better though. When I was blamed for giving bad advice I got upset and shouldn't have. My bad. By the same token I wouldn't want a newbie to get taken to the woodshed for $100+ on a trinket either.

PCGS gives slabs like this out every month to Collector's Club members and every few years, when they hit a milestone, there's big slab give-away like this one.

Youre stating your OPINION as if its fact. That is bad advice when you dont even bother to say "In my opinion" but rather present it like a fact.

Maybe you should check ebay. Ones currently sitting at 91 dollars with 23 bids, the one the OP listed is at 50 with one bid and another had already sold for close to 100.

But I guess none of that means anything because you dont like it?

Its also incorrect that these are given away every month.

For the record I couldnt care less what these sell for which is why I let the market dictate my response. Plenty of companies in the past have given away special things like this for a mile stone that ended up being collectable. If you dont like it fine dont buy it, but your personal feelings dont make a market

What a bidiot on ebay pays is of no consequence to me or anybody else with an ounce of common sense. They say a fool and his money are soon parted and this is a good example. No hologram, no serial number, no grade, no quantity produced even. PCGS gave away 500 to the first 500 orders after hitting 50,000,000. Doesn't say it's limited to 500. It's a joke but hey, "There's a sucker born every minute".

darn basebal, very well said. I need to buy you a beer. BH just doesn't get it! I'm a picker and I have made many, many thousands of dollars on items most people wouldn't give a second look at. BH is the kind of guy that doesn't even take a first look.

Your the joke BH, just stop posting here. Your very narrow, marginal "advice" is not needed. How in the world are you a pillar here?

with basebal. You have said your piece, we disagree, move on. It is simpson's thread. Continuing to troll this thread is helping no one and diminishing any respect you may have garnered through you first 5400 posts. It is not your thread to hijack.

What someones willing to pay for something is exactly what a market is built upon. Someone with an ounce of common sense would say that real world prices outweigh opinions any day. Ones theoretical the other is whats actually happening.

Whether or not you agree with the market doesn't change the fact that it exists. Advice should be based on facts not opinions. Opinions should be presented as such, such as "I wouldnt pay more than 20". Not a definitive statement its not worth more than 20 period end of story.

Also calling people idiots for paying that is telling people how and what to collect and basically just saying theyre dumb for not agreeing with you.

simpsonstorage1, there is no need to be rude. If someone is being rude to you, that is what the "Send note to staff" link is for.

I suggest everyone take a deep breath and relax. If the next posts in this topic aren't at least marginally cooled off, it will be locked.

Ya, I'm cool he just hit a button for a second. I'm over it. I do have a question though. Why was my earlier post saying my coin was on ebay deleted when others have links to their entire ebay listings?

Simpson its cus youre new. You have to have a certain amount of time and/or posts before you can link it.

Im assuming they do it to prevent the forum from just being a spam list of coins for sale from sellers.

I honestly have no clue why anyone at all would even care about this. David Halls signature means less than nothing IMO. I cant imagine anyone paying more than the worth of the coin. Were it me, you would have to pay me to take it.
