I think Spud has got it about right, in the VF-30/35 range.

I like this coin at EF-40, maybe 45... Hmm.. looking at it again, I see I may have undergrads it. However, I don't think this coin was a weak strike, the eagle's body is worn flat, similar to an F-15, the wings are of a higher grade, around 35 maybe. And if you look at the eagles mane, you see that there is very little detail left there too. On the Obverse, Lady Liberty's hair is oddly worn, with some strands of hair wearing all the way down and with the others maintaining that almost EF grade. Overall I don't see this coin making more than VF-35 at most... Just my opinion ofcourse. |

I have to agree with you zxcccxz, the obverse has both EF and VF details but overall it's a VF coin. I like it just the way it is. I'm learning to grade coins and wanted to test my skills by telling you what I think then seeing what you all think. I think I got it right this time. We'll see on the next coin I get raw. This forum has taught me a lot!
