It amazes me, after causing confusion and disappointment. All the talk regarding cancellations I ordered from CP & CC&C and I ended up with 5 frogs I don't need. I'm selling at cost & shipping.

This was not managed well! The extra stock & MC members still didn't get the coin, and 6 months later it's in stock. They need to better manage inventory. I was wondering why it was showing as awaiting stock? I had thought it was posted as sold out. Hopefully no one sees them and they get melted.

Unfortunately, additional 2.500 units to the big amount of 10.000 hit badly the secondary market.

I was in almost same situation with three 2013 Glass Butterflies, while despite all hype, I got for issue, but didn't need any of them.
Luckily, I managed to sell all of them locally for $175 e.a

.... but in case of Glass Frogs, probably you have to sell bit below issue, or offer Free shipping to attract the buyer.

I remembered when the mint was 'sold out' for MC members during the pre-release period, I had to complain to get on the wait list. I ended up buying one from a reseller but forgot to cancel the wait list. The coin ended up shipping lol
I thought it was strange when I received a call today from a mint rep asking me if I want another one.
Guess they really messed up on their inventory numbers. Somehow I now have a rep assigned to me. lol

I ended up selling mine to Colonial Acres, I guess they were out of stock, made about $60 after shipping costs.

I liked the appearance, but this kind of "stuff" is a bit far away of being a coin according to me, that's why I passed from the beginning.

A little off topic, does anyone know what is a reasonable price for the candycane ? I see Solds on ebay range from $100-$149 CAD shipping included. I'm asking, because a good acquaintance was auctioning 1 for $105 with ship. The ad ran twice with no bids. So I contacted by private email. I offered to trade some of my coins, of squeal value. They were into it, a day later, they relisted a Bin for $119 + ship. They wanted to trade straight across for the frog. They said they learned it was issued @ $149.

I had asked for a $35 credit to be applied to future coins they sell. I get a reply, sorry not interested. When I viewed Solds, many sell for $100 CAD with shipping. A few around $115 and an occasional for $149. I thought I'd save the person fees.

So I'm wondering what others think is a fair price? I've done several trades , with no issues, with this person. Was I being too cheap, expecting the value to be the starting auction price of $90 & ship $15? Sold glass frogs Solds are $149 - $199.

I appreciate all input, thanks in advance!

My pesonal opinion:
even not compared with the Frog. The Frog is the single coin from the series, that I keep as example of this type of coins.
Candy Cane - just piece of something on the coin surface.

And to be more objective:
Glass Frog sells for issue+, while Candy cost probably $100-$115.
Do not pay more than that, just not worth it (IMO).

Just trying to answer Solidifier:

No, the O Canada 5 coin wooden box will not fit the series.
I tried to utilize the box for many coins and physically tried it.

So Venetian Glass coin, being the same 38mm diameter like a standard RCM 1oz coins, have more thick capsule, that just will not enter to the round slots of the box.

What I didn't try - "Mask" High Relief coins.

So basically the box will be great for standard RCM 38mm coins in their capsules (not Lighthouse and not Airtite H), also the coins in Silver Dollar format (36mm) will be good, just bit loose.
