I can't wait to see Johnny's pics. I'm thinkin it looks way better than the pics show right now, they're pretty washed out. Sweet coin !

Well done indeed Johnny ... lovely coin.
Kudos as well to SsuperDdave for his excellent description of how to evaluate a coin grade by photo ... the absolute best I have ever read.

No offense intended to the seller but if your going to sell a coin of this magnitude, pictures like you took John, are a must. I originally said AU53. Now that I see your pictures, I slightly disagree with their grade. The coins eye-appeal is phenomenal! I'm almost at AU58 but not quite. Grader vermontensium would have finalized her at AU55. Wonder what it would cross as at PCGS

I have been trying to work on my photography, but always believed mine to be subpar....but at least I know that I am going in the right direction now. The seller is very well known, has his own website, and sells lots of high end coins. NFC Coins. Here is a link to my purchase. He was asking $7750, and after several counteroffers, we arrived at $7550, with free express shipping, and my $100 in ebay bucks. http://www.ebay.com/itm/31089592342....m1497.l2649I absolutely love this coin in hand, and is the highlight of my gold collection. Maybe someday I will attempt a cross or a bean...but it still takes my breath away as it sits.

I'm not sure those are rub marks, looks like circulation marks. Hard to tell until he gets it in hand. Beautiful coin! Nice purchase!
