Wow! Top notch collection. Those raw coins could give my slabbed 7070 registry set a run for their money. Can't wait to see the rest of the pages.

I really like the toned 2 cent piece. The Randall hoard cent is nice too.

Thanks so much for all of your compliments!! Please let me know if you want to see any closeup, as I have most of the coins photographed individually. Also, which set of lightings do you all prefer?

Nope. The toning just gives it a nice cameo effect.

Very nice first page. I especially like the 2 cent piece. It almost looks proof to me. I wonder how it got that beautiful toning?

I am not sure which lighting I like better. Both types bring out different features on some of the coins.

that 1818 N-10 is amazing, the Draped Bust Half Cent superb, your 1852 Large cent is also quite nice looking. Is that 3 cent silver a proof? Looks pretty cameo in the photos.

BEAUTIFUL classic head large cent! What a wonderful high grade first page! I'd be scared to crack most of those out for the Dansco, but they sure do look great in the album!

I dont believe the 3 cent silver is a proof, see my photos above. Technically, it probably barely makes AU-50, but the toning and cameo affect(with a bit of cartwheel luster) is so captivating; that it is unlikely to see an upgrade for a while.

Thanks for the compliments. Some of these coins you mentioned were undergraded, which makes it easier to crack out of the slabs when I am at the crossroads. The draped bust Half Cent, chalk full of mint luster; graded only a VF-20 from ANACS. Now I am technically going for an AU+ problem free type set, leaving the most expensive coins at XF+....but the dbhc was so ridiculously undergraded, that I made an exception for it. The 1818 graded NGC AU-55, but has full cartwheel luster on both sides; and most folks on the forum graded it MS.....making another easy one to crack out.

The toughest coin to crack out was my Classic Head Large Cent....graded problem free XF-45 from ANACS. I highly doubt I will ever upgrade that one....as the strong details compliment the rest of the set. The weak link is the Draped Bust Large Cent, which graded XF-40 problem free. It is a nice coin with a very original and corrosion free planchet; but it doesn't quite match up detail-wise with the rest of the set. Its the only coin on the page that I am still sort of considering upgrading.....but the right one at the right price has to come along...and that may take a while.

Any other closeup requests?
