I'd probably start with this one just to get my feet wet.

Why not a Breen plate coin :-)

ABSOLUTELY I'd still Collect. However, the only only difference would be my criteria. I'd go from collecting the "Top 20 finest graded by I.C.C.S." to the "Finest known" by I.C.C.S. !

I'd still collect but I'd be golfing 12 months of the year instead of 7.

I think the sub-text of the question is "Do you collect for future profit or for the fun and satisfaction of it"

If you were in a position where you didn't need the (perceived) future profit, would you still collect.
Absolutely, I can honestly say that I have never bought a coin with it's future resale value in mind.

Of course I would!
IF I ever win the lottery, I would spend all of the million dollars on a complete type set of Korean banknotes, 1893 to present, and a nice, AU+ American coinage type set, 1793 to present (including gold!)
But I am a person who doesn't believe in such a luck---but it sure would be nice if I ever win!

I would still collect! Once I secure my basic needs I will use the rest to grow my collection.

I'd buy the best of the best. Bills, coins, every variety, error, and what not I could get my hands on. I would probably end up back to where I started after my spending spree. lol

Money isn't everything in life.
Coins are!

I try to kid myself that since I have been collecting for decades, that perhaps I could call myself a numistatist.
Unfortunately that simply isn't true; I'm still just a coin collector, and that's even if I did win a lottery, and bought high falutin' high end coins.

I still get a little buzz after finding an interesting little Mercury in a dealer's junk box. Small things amuse a coin collector's mind.
