I see that this thread has been inactive since October, but I did enjoy following it and think it might be worth reviving.

Quote: A birthday note means that the serial number makes up a calendar date Just a little input. I understand what everyone is searching for here are birthday notes, but anyone new to the hobby I would just like to say that besides the personal value they may have to an individual they are not listed in the Charlton Canadian Government Paper Money Catalogue. What is Listed are birth year notes. For example APT0001959 is a birth year note 1959 and the year must be the last 4 digits of the serial number. Currently a recent issue $5 birth year catalogues for $40 Undervalued in my opinion as most birth years are also quiet low serial numbers as well and difficult to find

Quote: AUG.6,1965 or June8,1965. I also have the same numbers ending in1967, 1968,1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974. Let me know what year you need. The Charlton guide puts them at $120. The Charlton Catalogue Does Not put this at $120 It is NOT a birth year note just because it has those numbers in the serial number. Hopefully this post does not sound too harsh but... The one thing that bothers me the most is people posting without making the honest effort to ask someone before they post something assuming it has value. I understand honest mistakes can be made, but I think it makes more sense to ask before assuming if you are not sure. This is one of the biggest reasons why so many Newbie banknote collectors leave the hobby because of buying something that is NOT what it is suppose to be I leave it up to the moderators to alter this post in any way and I apologize in advance if I have offended another member FRIEDSQUID

Quote: how would you search for a specifc date on this forum or in google? -It's really tough to find your own birthday note (I've never found mine). The CPMF had that in mind with their SNDB (Serial Number Data Base) and you could enter a number you were interested in. A couple numbers I entered were "Red Flagged" indicating another member wanted it and they were typically had the birthday note # pattern. Here's one for March 8th 2000 (for an 18 year fan)

im looking for june 11 2013 and now with a new boy october 17 2019. ive been putting these aside for a later date and now seemed the time to either trade or ebay them. realizing how much I have, any suggestions on what just to spend? I mean I'm sure there are some 100 year olds out there but what are the chances of them or their family finding or even wanting these? pretty sure the future dated notes arent worth anyones time but they are maklem carneys and I still havent figured out if its worth it at all to save them. I mean theyre not super rare but still rare overall, no? what do you think. oh yeah I guess theres no such thng as june 31
