Looks pretty similar to a VG10 Barber Half I have. Now, of course, they different denominations but they do have the same design and pretty similar relief... So I'll say F12.

I just cracked it out and have it soaking in acetone. I think the PVC residue will wash off. It doesn't look like it has damaged the coin, yet. I'll post some after photos tomorrow.

Using the ANA grading standards guidebook I'm going with F-12. Only because it does not have a photo of F-15. |

I'm thinking more like VF-25 and the PVC issue seems pretty minor. Unless you are seeing an increase in the level of discoloration I would not be too quick to crack it out. The 1908-S is another scarcer date in the Barber quarter series. Problem-free certified mid-grade examples aren't so easy to find. This one looks pretty nice to me. |

F12 to me the Reverse is a VG10 and the Obverse is a F15 so over all grade is averaged to me.
