I thought that if cleaned would destroy any MS left on coin.,.,The Year side has some sparkly things going in circle on outside-that I will call MS.,.Maybe it would havebeen MS60 and not the AU55 it is now if it hadn't been cleaned-And I am not sure it has..Could we all learn here?

Zxcccxz was very brave to post the first reply. I watched as a large number of forum members viewed the post with no reply. I saw this coin as an AU grade, but I'm too much of a novice to place demerits on such a nice example.

Gidjit thank you, drew the pics down
today and wondered if the 5 has some doubling ?
I would like knowing what variety
it is, if it is a double punched 5.
thanks in advance

torgemco - I don't collect 1 cents but that looks like a higher grade than a 3 or 4. I'd say more like F-12 (cleaned). If it really is a 3 or 4, can someone explain why the low grade.

thanks aswag
that is only my opinion
at one time I had it nearer
to f12/15 but it just seems
as though it is has been dipped
over and over again. and any luster
seems false.
perhaps i`ll mark it as vg 8
I cant at this time justify
anything higher.
in my minds eye
regards
