I saw this yesterday when I was looking for that black rhino silver coin and I was thinking,, and these are just random thoughts, thinking out loud...
1- a good sale if you wanted this series, if you are a collector this a good sale
2- dont be surprised if they are having trouble selling these, that down the road, prices drop even more on this series....since what is cheap usually becomes cheaper...
3- there should be no rush to add coins, as prices continue to drop....
nice coin, but totally different from the first in the series. But.....just another "animal" from overseas. Like in the thread about RCM: eagles, bears...and here Rhinos and Elephants
I am a total sucker, of the biggest kind, for rhinos, elephants as an example. I also like the presentation.
These type animals, and seeing them on coins, tho strike a very strong chord with me because I am actively involved in organizations that are working to preserve such wild life. I highly doubt this coin holds or increases in value.
I received my Lake Erie coin today from the mint. I paid 123.89 direct from the mint...Hmmm This will be our last subscription. They also closed the coin sales at our local post office branch so I predict an even bigger surplus saturation.
I got the subscription thinking this set would sell out and because I did want it. Regardless the experience has turned me off to the mint and how it operates. I'll be shopping around from now on.
Its actually about a way to change your way of thinking, its quite interesting if you get into it but most people don't think there is anything wrong being negative.
