Thank all of you for the valuable information. In looking at the dimes, I do not detect a clad. I thought that the envelope was authentic, but was not sure about the actual coin sets. I still wonder why the two dimes? Also, why can't I find any of these aftermarket sets on the internet? Were they perhaps taken out of the package and disposed of separately? Below are pictures of the front and back of the blue Philly token. The tokens appear to be made out of thin cardboard/card stock. The Denver token is yellow, and the Philly is blue. I will post the other token as soon as I can.
Thank you again for all your input.

Thanks, tkbslc. I looked at this thread--some similarities. The two dimes are still curious. :)

I think it's just more evidence that there were companies rolling their own mint sets.

Totally and completely after market sets. Notice the verbiage used. Uncirculated coins OF the Denver mint. That is CLEARLY not a mint token. Interesting for what it is, but not a real mint set.

Thank you for all your help. I am a relatively new coin collector, so I appreciate the help and sharing your knowledge. I will continue to read the posts--they are very informative. I will chalk this purchase up to a learning lesson.

Still interesting. If the OP has an chance, take close up pics of the dimes....maybe there is something interesting (different) of them.

Tk, the coins still are unc and it is an interesting item. Nothing wrong with buying it, just as long as you did not pay an outrageous amount for it. And now you know exactly what it is.

It's not like the coins are more valuable in a real mint set, so I wouldn't say you lost out. But it is a good lesson to make sure you know what you are buying.

If anything you got an extra couple of silver dimes, so you probably came out ahead.

Check the dimes see if there is the blunt dimes and pointed dimes perhaps thats why there is two dimes in each 1964 had two obverse designs heres a P9 or pointed nine proof

Thank you all again. The coins are still uncirculated...we paid $27 so not too bad. I will post a picture of the dimes when I return home on Thursday. I will also look for the blunt/pointed 9 to see if that's maybe why there are two dimes. I still have a lot to learn and thanks for all the info. :)
