How better to determine price than to see what they sell for?

Yes, these are the Lunar Series Premium Bullion that Perth Mint releases every year. There is a million max mintage (compared to ASE's where the mintage is unlimited and this year alone is 40 million.)

The second these bullion coins are released each year their premium is way above all other bullion because of the collectability of them. For example the 2015 Goat was just released. While the other Australian 2015 bullion coins sell for around $22 each these came right out of the gate for $30 each.....and they will sell. people love these and will buy them up. It seems like every previous year are worth more and more because people want to get the whole set.......

Im sure you could get $450 for them easy.

They may be worth more in the future once more of the series is released, compared to generic bullion which will just go up in price because silver goes up in price.......

Occasionally, I find these being sold for a small premium over spot price of silver. I grab them without a second thought. I prefer to stack silver in this way by trying to accumulate pieces that have a built in premium (not really numismatic in the true sense of the word!)as it provides a bit of "protection" in a volatile metals market. I have also been able to sell/trade duplicate pieces for ones I've needed to complete the set. Still need the elusive 2009 Ox!

There was a time not too long ago where these couldn't be bought for any less than $75-100 each. Unless you absolutely must part with them now, you'd be better positioned to sell for a much larger profit in the future. Although these will never depreciate to below $40, IMO, the lunar series- much like the majority of collectable silver bullion- is still impacted by the current fall in spot silver.

For instance, I bought my Rooster in 2009 when spot prices were hovering around $9-11. The coin cost me $26. But before I could collect them all, the prices shot up as high as $100 each for most of the Series 1 Lunars by the end of 2011, just two short years later.

Point being, sell now and you're selling at a moment in time when spot silver is close to a 52-week low. Hold on to the coins and I can almost guarantee that your Roosters will increase, if not due to a hike in spot silver, it would be because of supply and demand alone. Every year, your coins become a little scarcer and more desired than the year before.

I was just saying real value because sometimes I find these lunar coins at my LCS for $25-35 a piece. I would never pay the inflated values $60-70++ what people are paying for them on ebay.

Wish I would get presents like that. All the coins I used to get as presents were mail ordered ones from my aunt. Nickels of the 20th century etc haha. It was a nice thought atleast. Though even as a kid, I knew she was way overpaying for the stuff. Never had the heart to tell her.
