That's a beauty! Some strike weakness on the temple, cheek, beard and the bust near the rim. I think I see a few stains in the lower reverse field.

Quote: Any scratches or marks are on the holder only. Assuming the population guide is correct, and there are indeed no 2003 *70's. Must be a 69. ðŸ'

Yeah, you guys nailed it. I would love MS69 but I think the reverse bottom is keeping it from that.

If you are the one who had this slabed, did you find it in a mint set?

Dave, on the first obverse photo what is that between E and R in LIBERTY, a die chip or dirt on the holder?

what does it cost to have a coin graded by PCGS? I was under the impression that it was somewhere around $40.
how can someone have it graded - and sell it for that price?

I would say that is a great price Dave
dbrablec you can submit moderns with a five coin minimum for 15 each (ngc prices). Also they have bulk submission fees, but I think you have to do 100 or more. Also, I think the well known dealers can get better rates.

great looking coin. probably a great price - too. i read about a Lincoln Cent (zinc) that was graded MS70 by one of the services. the coin auctioned off well into the thousands of dollars. it later deteriorated inside the holder. that would be a bummer.
