You're probably right but I have issues with letting go - I've never sold any of my coins.

Here's some more discussion of these goalie mask coins.

Two years ago, I laughed at $1k for the Montreal coin. Might not be laughing so hard now.

I have all of them paid issue for all of them they all sell for under issue except Montreal which makes up for it lol.I think there some of the nicest coins the mint ever made I love em and the stand makes them look awesome IMO.Not sure why they never caught on,much better then the ugly new ones.

Yep, I think Montreal is the only team where there are more fervent coin collectors than coins available. I got mine for $140 a couple of years ago and counted myself lucky to do so. Was the last one I needed for the set :-) Definitely the best NHL themed coins the mint has produced to date.

They should do a silver coin series with just the team logos or like on the Stanley cup or maybe like a Stanley cup ring or the arenas or on a Zamboni lol. This one is super lame no thought went into it it's hockey Canadiens will buy it.I'm with kuh85 best hockey themed coins by far.Wish I was smart and bought acouple the Montreal ones.

According to my Rep, this years hockey coins are commissioned by Canada Post. It's a good thing the Mintage is low. I'd image the mint will have a sell out on these coins, since most of the stock went to CP.

I too like the goalie masks the best. One day I hope to get the Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary coins to my collection. These are the ones I like best.

If you go to canada post website and look at the Montreal Canadians Zamboni stamp that's what they should have released as the coins not the ugly ones they just released.

The design of the coin isn't terrible but it's definitely not as good as it could have been. They are trying to sell the team so the logo should have been at the forefront with the silhouette of the player behind. Just my opinion.

Seems strange to have a Jets coins with a silhouette of Phil Kessel on it.

That gives me what might have been a great idea CC-Ottawa. They could have used 7 different silhouettes to make each coin feel special.

Hey RCN, The obvious choices of Montreal and Toronto are selling quite briskly. Locally we do alright with the Jets coins but Winnipeg is a coupon town. People like a bargain here. lol
