I have researched a little and notice that the .999 piece is bullion or possible "Commemorative". Tuscaloosa, AL hahaha

As mentioned none of the dollars are key dates, but the 1904-O is a better coin, especially in better condition.

In average condition a Morgan dollar is worth $25-30 and a Peace dollar is worth $20-25. If it is in really poor condition they both have 0.86 ounces of silver, so you can work out the basic silver value and that's what it is worth.

I'd put them all in simple staple holders like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Cardboa...em565e3ddb13

you just fold them over and put 3-4 staples around the edges and it provides good protection from fingerprints and handling. Those are for the dollars, and they make ones with holes sized for half dollars, too.

EDIT: Did I read your half dollars date from 1905? Can you post a closeup picture of your pre 1930's half dollars? Those can be EXTREMELY valuable depending on condition.

Oh great, what about the 1904-o, I believe I have 2 of them in really good condition, should I post up a picture? I also have an 1881 o in great condition too. I'm thinking MS63-66 for some of them - but what do I know haha. I looked on ebay and are those a good price do you think? Thanks!

I don't know how to edit my posts so I apologize for quite a few posts but I will definitely throw a few pictures on here for your guys, they date from 1881 - 1930 something

If you got them from a bank, they are likely to be in circulated condition which would make the top end grade AU. Even if they are all in horrid condition you probably have $1200 worth of silver with 50 dollars and 100 half dollars.

You can put the half dollars in the dollar size holders, they just may slide around. If you have 100 half dollars, I'd order a set of half dollar holders, too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Cardboa...em3387ccf0f0

Well some of them had not been circulated, some people turned them in and some are in really great condition (to me at least) I got them before they could be put up and destroyed haha. I have half dollars from a ton of years. 1943 and another date close to that seem to be the most popular. I also have some 1964 that are in great condition too.

Well like I said, regardless of coin condition, you scored big just on silver value. Now I'd put the coins in those holders and start going through them one by one to see if you have any that are worth a lot based on collectible value.

This is a good resource to help grade the coins that shows pictures of coins and grades that professional coin graders have given them: http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/
Here is a reasonable price guide once you determine grade: http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/fmv.shtml

You may want to post a few of the better ones in the grading forum on this site to check your grading skills.

Sounds like you weren't into coins before this so maybe the coins themselves dont mean to much to you but regardless I would put them into holders, research and sock them away. If you need the money thats one thing but if not I would hold onto them for a bit and see where silver prices go, its possible you could make an even bigger payday later.

Either way sounds like you are having a good time finding out about your new treasure. Also you came to the right place this site has some very knowledgeable and helpful folks.

Congrats and have fun!
