I am no real fan of colorized coins either ..
but when I saw these I was sure I had a spot
for them that I liked.
The fact that there are four of them and you have four holes is obvious, but them being coloured to further differentiate them from the series works well here. It reminds me of the shift of a television series from B&W to colour. It is rather nostalgic.

In my 20th and 21st century type set I had a whole page of blanks so I got some proofs and put them in there and it looks really nice

I am filling the empty holes of my Barber, Walker and 3 page Franklin/Kennedy Dansco albums with a date set of Seated Liberty halves. I am avoiding the expensive date/mintmark ones, so the extra slots save from having to buy an actual seated lib dansco.

I really like those P & D tokens, shark! How did you fill in the backs of the ports? I kind of wish they made S tokens. Then they'd fit right in!

I wound up putting these into my Lincoln album

I wish they made S mint tokens as well. Since they don't, I had to improvise just a little. The backs are filled in with extra Dansco page skins. There was a post on here a while ago where someone (if anyone remembers who, please feel free to give them credit for me) posted about taking a Dansco page you don't need, peeling the skin off it, and using it to cover over the empty slots you don't need in your albums.

I just recently added a blank page to my Jefferson Dansco to give me MORE "blank holes". The reason I did is that I am working on this as a coin roll hunting quest to complete a set from circulation, but in that quest I have found many foreign coins as well as some great errors, which I am adding to the collection to reflect the "journey" and what I found along the way. Makes the collection tell a story that way.

Get a piece of paper that matches the color of the album, and attach it to the sliding film on both sides, only in the spots where you want blanks. Then slide in the plastic cover and, hopefully, you have fixed the album!

I will be adding another page to my Jefferson album as well. Currently, the last page has room for nickels up to 2016-P, so I figure I'll just continue my set in the back of that one for 2016-D and forward.

That would probably have been Larsdog in a discussion on satin-finished coins https://goccf.com/t/140999

Thanks for the link, Billy! I spent a good amount of time reading through- it's nice to see others who love their danscos. I seem to recall a "show off your dansco collection" a while back but can't seem to find it.

Got this blank planchet today and thought it was pretty clever since I won't be buying a 1922 plain anytime soon, and if I did, I probably won't be putting it in an album.

Very nice!

Is it zinc or bronze/brass?

I was wondering the same. Was going to weight it last night but never got around to it. Also wanted one that wasn't red so that its blend in more haha.

I like the blank planchet idea for things like the '22 plain or '09 S-VDB. Great idea!
