Yeah, right. With all this going on with these people with lots of money to throw around, makes me wonder what they know and not telling anyone. It's insanity!

It's simply the Registry Set fever in action, although I think PCGS has missed the boat by not including these in the Complete Variety Set for Kennedys. I have an Enhanced in MS70 Prooflike that I paid WAY less money for than these DMPL coins are going for. Best Regards, George

As I have been watching these specific varieties being sold or for sale on the net, and into a couple of weeks on this thread, it appears that the fluke is starting to taper off somewhat, where prices are dropping off a bit or settling down. I'm starting to imagine there will be a few of the early buyers wishing they waited before jumping in on this one.

Just a thought... Could these DMPL coins actually be mint errors and that the dies used weren't properly treated to make them what an EU coin was supposed to look like?

There's been speculation about that early on in this thread. To me, these EU's look more like proof coins than anything else, especially when I compare this one with the 2014 Silver Eagle EU.

guess we will never know...but me EU Kennedys aren't even close to being PL or DMPL which makes me think it was a mix-up and not a die state

Real nice coins! You might consider sending them off for certification, might be worth the effort.

Wow! If I had almost 5k to spend on coins it certainly wouldn't be on a 2014 JFK!

Yeah, the one one ebay for $3750 has been on there for a long long time now. They use to have several on there for over $4000, and I remember one on there for $5200, which someone purchased. There is also some listings for a 2014 Kennedy clad high reliefs going for $$$$. But there is one Kennedy half that has me fascinated that I didn't even know exists, a 1966 SMS Kennedy half error coin with the 'FG' missing on the reverse. There have only been a couple hundred graded in all grades by NGC and PCGS. Sounds like there are not too many of them out there, and they are not very expensive either!
