What's interesting about tfred's above 9 over inv 9 is that you can just see a bit of the hoop on the inside loop of the lower right side of the 9..
Now is the type 2 "9 over inv 9" a bit tougher than the type 1..?

The type 1 is the harder of the 2. You'd have to check the Haxby site, as there may even be 3 types of the 9/6. The type 1 is the only one that was put in Charlton, so the prices don't cross over to the type 2.

Please note the E and the horizontal bar on it in ONE. it looks like the Spur on the 1881. How did it happen? any plausible explanation for it? It does not look like PMD to me. thanks

Here is another 9/8 with a question. How did the O in ONE come to be this way?
re-punched die? re-engraved die double strike? damaged die? Grease Filled Die? MD? or, any other way?

What can one say but I don't have any of the 9/8's or the 9/9's so to me its all eye candy big time. And that spur on the E ----"What a Score". Keep it coming. cheers Don

Fun varieties from tfred and gidjit..... More please.. ...That 0 over 0 was used on ~ 25% and is probably the most common Rev used of the overdates ..

Yes MG..superb photos again... I just love the details that your pics provide for us here. That closed in "9" is so different from any others that I've seen,..and the "E" and "T" and the "I" are the best ever.. Thanks for posting these again.. D
