But his last few rolls that sold in the thousands all got positive reviews and were from different buyers. Interesting.

I'm not sure if this is the same seller but someone linked a YouTube video of the owners opening a roll and stacking the coins then sliding them across the table. They simply have no idea what they are doing.

All things aside, the one CC Morgan is either an 1878 or 1880 rev '78 in other words, not one of the common (82,83 or 84) dates. Beyond that, just another scam.

Dave,
so how would you value the roll given the two end coins and the assumption that the 18 on the inside will be sliders and worth melt?

So is this becoming a trend? Because these scammers can make a lot of money on this, or anyone can for that matter.

@KeivnH, Based on one CC being a rev '78 I would add maybe $200 to your estimate based on AU55. (we can't assume MS now can we) I'm not sure if the people that bid on these rolls will pick up on the CC rev or not. We can only watch and see what happens.

i love these morons who list something, then give you a dissertation on what the carson city mint was, how the dollars were most oft used, etc.......obv does not know much about collecting and is hoping to rope in bidders who will bid on the historical aspect vs the numismatic aspect of it.
I will give him a bit of credit, even has the roll stamped with some carson city bank name on it.

I wonder how long it'll be before someone has the brilliant idea of offering a big jar full of Morgan rolls....

I'm on it LC! I've got plenty of spare 1889 (P) that I can seed with a couple of spare CC's that I can face rev out of course and let the bidding war begin.

So is the seller dumb enough to put Ikes in the middle of the roll, thinking that none of his marks dare open it for fear of losing all that "value" and return privilege? You could file a SNAD simply on the grounds of the wrapper being no good if you can show it's ink jet on a lunch bag. Better yet, print up a bunch of dollar wrappers exactly like those being used and sell those on ebay. Someone looking at the "original roll" auctions would probably be shown your wrappers as other potential items of interest if the title is worded carefully.

Quote: Returns are accepted when the buyer pays for return shipping, and returns the roll(s) unopened, undamaged, and not tampered with*. * A 10% restocking fee will apply on all returns, sorry no exceptions. *sigh* I'd like to see someone remove the dollars from the middle, refill with culls, then re-roll it before returning. See if the seller would still claim to not know what was inside.
