I would fear the worst if the US ever minted a coin, commemorative or circulating, representing the IRS.  It would almost certainly be bipartisan disgust. |

If it was a U.S. coin, it would have a special micro chip in it that tracks all the other money in your pocket, too make sure your paying all your taxes.  |

Gee... this gives me all sorts of ideas for commemorative coins. How about one for the death penalty, the Black Plague and who can forget the San Francisco earthquake? Chicago fire? Influenza epidemic? Batan Death March?

Lol, since before the time of Christ folks hated tax collectors. Some things never change. :-)
I wouldn't want the IRS on a coin either, and I'm fairly sure the folks who work there feel the same way.

Maybe they should make coins in two colours like your avatar 'SteveCaruso' and stamp on one part "this goes to the irs". |

Here we go again, let's all have a go at the taxman (woman/person).
They are, in Britain, known as Civil Servants and we serve the Crown, its Government and the people. The taxman doesn't rob people we are there to ensure that the Government doesn't cheat you.
And yes I used to be one. [Stands back and waits for the blowback!]
At the end of the day we get, and perhaps deserve, who we elect.

Thai-vic In New zealand a few years back the "taxman" became so obnoxious there had to be an enquiry as to why "customers" were committing suicide. The conclusion was there was unhealthy "out-to-get-you" culture. Instead of sorting problems the tax man was taking them to the next level and people were going from NZ$8000.00 debt to almost a million because of that organisational culture... it was politicians who had to sort it out!!

How many of us have been or are in the Armed Services, and thus dependent on the IRS?
The taxpayers are the ones that have to pay large corporations for the manufacture of defense equipment.
