Hi all, I just received my holder and must say it is real quality..! I put an 1819 ANACS coin in it and now its makes a super desk display. I've been getting some great compliments on it. I highly recommend this holder for the "Special" coin you have and want to display. Couldn't ask for anything nicer. GREAT job crystalk64. catman

Thanks Catman! Your a gentleman and a scholar in my book! I just finished the rare Hawaiian Koa, the Chinese Paulownia, the Granadillo and another Walnut that will be going to Susan so if anyone is in dire need of displaying their favorite slabbed coin please email Susan (Mom) and she will take great care of you.

Brought this back up so I could let everyone know a few more are headed Susan's way this week. Hopefully she will get some photos posted in the near future. Also I wanted all the new members here to know of these holders exsistence as they are available NOWHERE else other than the Coin Community Forums and through Bobby131313 on ebay at this moment. Just me and Mom (Susan)have them at this particular time.

Terry, I completely missed this thread until now. Most of it was posted in August when I was at Scout Camp, at Katrina, or on the road, but now that you've refreshed it and I'm now aware of it, I must say that these holders are the neatest thing since toothpaste tubes!
Referring back to some previous posts on wood (I may have missed a similar question), are you actively looking for differing woods or would you prefer to work on stock you already have on hand?

Always looking for a little wood! (some will find some humor here) I woodwork when I can find the time and this area is NOT well known for wood selection. Usually buy a board or two at a time but from all over North America so shipping becomes an issue every time I buy. Have purchased rare wood or just something new to work with and the shipping was far more than the board I purchased. I got the idea for the holders, quite honestly, as slab collectors are pretty much screwed after buying the slab. And, as we all know, some of those special coins take YEARS to find and quite a bit of MONEY could be invested on any given purchase. It just makes me sick to go to all the effort and then hide it away? Decided to do something about it. Kind of making a trophy out of it that won't fit in a pocket and the kids can't carry it off and lose it. Any way, thanks for the commemts they are appreciated!

MorganFred, You can also scroll down to the bottom of the page, if you haven't already, to locate a web page concerning these slab presentation holders.

My dad bought me one of your holders (in spalted maple), and it is absolutely beautiful! It's a wonderful way to display coins - I've gotten compliments from a ton of people! I'm sure I'll be getting a few more so I can display some other coins... I'll definitely pass the word along.

Thank you Vast136 and welcome to the forum. You can always check the holders available here (bottom of the page) or get with Susan or check with ebay seller Bobby131313 for holders available at any given time. I am really hoping these catch on as hiding coins we worked so hard to finally own really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me? Again thank you and really glad you like the spalted maple as it is one of my favorite finished woods (sometimes hard to find)! Have a rare Hawaiian Koa going to Susan this week plus a Granadillo, Chinese Paulownia and Walnut!

Susan now has the RARE Hawaiian Koa holder as well as the others mentioned above. Just don't ask me which slabs they hold as I don't have a clue now! Get with Susan!

Please forgive me for bringing this post back up but I have to announce the fact that I have been busy and some accomplishments have been made. First a new Security Wedge Holder has been designed and made for dealers. Those should make their first public appearance in Baltimore this weekend as the first few are due at ND's this afternoon. The holders can lie in a space no taller than two and a half inches or the slab can be turned 180 degrees and the holder becomes a free standing holder for a larger space or shelf. Very secure way to hand a valuable slab to a customer and it will eliminate a switch made by the customer. Next up a simple but attractive proof set holder to display that special proof set or birth year set. And last but not least, and the main reason I pulled this post out of past history, was we finally, just his afternoon, came up with a final design and first prototype of a free standing holder for AIRTITES!!! All the thought and work that went into this endeavor only to be right in front of us the whole time. This just fries my mind (whats left of it) Should start producing these in the next couple of weeks as soon as I can locate a dependable supplier for the woods required. All three of these new holders (proof set, security wedge and airtite) will be available ONLY in Red Oak or Walnut at least at this time. Hopefully I will get samples to Susan in the near future! Just wanted you all to know I have actually been doing something!!!

Lim, we have no problem shipping overseas. These are running between 1 and 2 pounds to ship (the different woods are different weights). One pound to Australia via Airmail Letter Post is $10.00 USD; two pounds is $15.00 USD. These won't fit into the Global Priority flat rate envelopes. Some of these are listed on the site and more are listed in our ebay store.

Susan is correct lim118! My new motto is "If you have a slab, I have the holder!" Actually, as I mentioned I will be getting samples of the new holders to Susan as quickly as possible as the new designs that have been completed have been shipped to ND for the Baltimore show. I am STILL dreaming of a full time job in my little woodshop and a huge boost of free publicity in Baltimore was not going to hurt me any! If you have proof sets, slabs or anything else encased in plastic I can adjust the sizes accordingly but it may mean you will have to ship an "empty" one over here so there will be no room for error. Sure would be great to put some "hand made in Indiana" in the great down under! You can always email me or get with Susan and we would be glad to work with our friends waaaaaaaaaaaaay down there!!!
