lim118 if you have a slabbed coin that you just can't get enough of, well, these holders sure help out. Out in the open to look at and to large to fit in a pocket! Be great to send one down under some time!!! Thanks for the kind words and really glad you Aussies are here with us!

You can find a number of acrylic displays elsewhere. I haven't seen any that I like as well as Terry's though. In answer to your question, these are only available in wood.

Now, if we could only convince the grading services to start slabbing in matching (or nicely contrasting) woodgrain holders...!

Currently working on the following, should any of you be interested: Rare Hawaiian Koa for Anacs, Chinese Paulownia for PCI (light as a feather), Walnut for Anacs, and Granadillo for NGC. Should ship to Susan by the end of the week (thats the plan but subject to change). Hopefully some photos will become available as the Koa is absolutely unique as well as a very beautiful wood.

Hi all, I just received my holder and must say it is real quality..! I put an 1819 ANACS coin in it and now its makes a super desk display. I've been getting some great compliments on it. I highly recommend this holder for the "Special" coin you have and want to display. Couldn't ask for anything nicer. GREAT job crystalk64. catman  |

Brought this back up so I could let everyone know a few more are headed Susan's way this week. Hopefully she will get some photos posted in the near future. Also I wanted all the new members here to know of these holders exsistence as they are available NOWHERE else other than the Coin Community Forums and through Bobby131313 on ebay at this moment. Just me and Mom (Susan)have them at this particular time. |

Terry, I completely missed this thread until now. Most of it was posted in August when I was at Scout Camp, at Katrina, or on the road, but now that you've refreshed it and I'm now aware of it, I must say that these holders are the neatest thing since toothpaste tubes!
Referring back to some previous posts on wood (I may have missed a similar question), are you actively looking for differing woods or would you prefer to work on stock you already have on hand?

Always looking for a little wood! (some will find some humor here) I woodwork when I can find the time and this area is NOT well known for wood selection. Usually buy a board or two at a time but from all over North America so shipping becomes an issue every time I buy. Have purchased rare wood or just something new to work with and the shipping was far more than the board I purchased.
I got the idea for the holders, quite honestly, as slab collectors are pretty much screwed after buying the slab. And, as we all know, some of those special coins take YEARS to find and quite a bit of MONEY could be invested on any given purchase. It just makes me sick to go to all the effort and then hide it away? Decided to do something about it. Kind of making a trophy out of it that won't fit in a pocket and the kids can't carry it off and lose it. Any way, thanks for the commemts they are appreciated!
