I think a comparable coin to the reverse proof is the 1997 Matte Nickel (the key to the jefferson series). That coin has a mintage of 25,000 and goes for about $150 - 160 ish in SP69. So I would expect the price of the reverse proof dime to eventually end up in a similar range. I would expect the 2015 w to go for more than that given its the only option if one wants a 2015 w mint mark dime in their set. So at a minimum I expect that to also go for $150 in PF69, but likely much more. Throw in another $30 for the silver dollar and I think your looking at a minimum of $330 in value once the markets settle on these things. Thats more than 5X issue price!

Another good example for comparison is the 1998 Matte Kennedy half, the key to that series. It has a mintage of 62,000 and averages around $180 in MS69

The difference between 1998 and the present issues is that EVERY special set is consumed in the first few days of availability and then dumped on the market right away....price appreciation (if there is any) after that is mostly minimal
Decent price on the set and the HH limits will prevent the "normal" collector from ordering more than that...but it will NOT stop the big boys from ordering thousands of sets

Here's a simple question but I do not know. So if I wanted to order this, would it be as simple as signing up through the mint and ordering there on an order date?

Yes, if you can get through on the website and order before they are sold out. With a 75,000 mintage and the 5 coin per household limit they could go as quickly as 15,000 orders. And if the set is popular (and with the special dimes there is a good chance of that) that could happen as quickly as the first hour of sales. Can't say it will happen, but it COULD.

It will be a 1-2 day sellout...well..not really since the Mint doesn't use those words until months have past after the sellout. It will be on eternal "out of stock"

I'm not going to take any chances, I plan on getting my order in as soon as they open it up.

Quote: Just set your reminder because they *will* sell out! Well....not really. With the present Mint nothing sells out quickly...it just goes on eternal backorder status. The C & C set reached its 50k max in the middle of DECEMBER and has not been available for ordering since but it is still not "sold out"...duh! The Mint most likely will have a quantity ready for shipment on day one...after that it will go on "remind me" (never happens) backorder status until they get more... Then secretly open for orders on a random day for a few hours then rinse and repeat ...for weeks... They no longer just keep taking orders until the max is reached and ship whenever...if they don't have them in hand (or available within a week) they will stop taking orders...no clue why they do this. Nice that they ship VERY quickly but dumb that they can't continue to take orders (or actually "REMIND ME" !!)
