I want to finish my Lincoln roll collection (circulated) except for the key dates. Am a few coins short of finishing off the 40's and 50's, got a good percentage of the teens-30's done also. I also want to finish off my BU roll collection 50's-present. I also want to finish off my proof's, need the 1950 and 1936. Maybe get a couple more matte proofs (that is wishful thinking) I better get a few more jobs, dreaming is nice though!

During the last 90 days of 2007, I plan on searching through the bag of 4000 Buffalo nickels I bought from this dealer. We'll see what I get. I'll roll and sell the no dates and keep all of the full horns.

Hours of fun this winter ....lol.

I bought them for $.20 each so I might find some keepers and turn a profit in the process.

Hi once again,

Just wanted to clarify something. When someone says "date set" does this mean they are trying to get all years and mint marks for a certian type of coin?

Also, I may begin a Dansco 7070 set. I'm not sure right now though because I would still like to complete a few albums first and do a little upgrading. Plus, I don't have the type of money to buy gold coins.

I am working on paying for my Emergency Room bills and then start on my Lincoln Album. I just got a used Dansco Album on craigslist for $5 yesterday. I am about half way done with my Roosevelt Album, thanks to a bulk purchase from Garylcsr.

Gold Cert.,

A "date set" is a single coin per year set. This makes it a lot easier to complete a full set of dates when you have an alternative to the key coins, i.e. a 1909 Lincoln is a lot easier than a 1909-S or 1909-S VDB on the wallet!

Justjimrob,

Thankyou for that. I'm still learning... (Made the transition between U.S. Paper Money and U.S. coins.) what would you call it when you get every year, and every mint mark but without proof coins?

GoldCert. - Go ahead and try the 7070. There aren't gold coins in the album but you can buy extra add-on pages if you want. My 7070 is looking pretty good and when it's done I probably won't add any gold pages to it because there are so many other coins I could buy with the money.

Ben,

I don't know a technical term for that set if there is one. I think you nailed it with "every year, and every mint mark but without proof coins". I don't have any early Lincoln proofs but I consider my set to nearly complete. At least complete for me.

Jim (Justjimrob):
Congradualtions on completing your Lincoln Cents. I know that's a hard one to complete. I'm still working on my Lincoln cents. I'm not collecting the proofs for my Dansco album, just "every year, and every mint mark" : )
